A Fabulous Home in New York's Hudson Valley

A house of worship.

A place of meeting.

A beautifully-decorated oasis.

A home for many.

A warm and comfortable retreat.

A nearness to God.

Many people come in and out of these doors, but there are 5 people who are there every day. They are full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. They are Godly people. They are INCREDIBLY generous people. They know how to show hospitality, and they do it SO WELL. They can make anyone feel welcome in their home, from a lifelong friend to a complete stranger. They are genuine and authentic. They have a desire to serve others, and they sacrifice their own time and resources to do it well.

For the past 5 years, this has been a home away from home for the Inheritance of Hope team during our NYC Legacy Retreats®. We have met here the night before the families arrive to fuel up for the Legacy Retreat®. We have been loved so well in this place. We have had precious time with Jesus here. We have bonded together as a family here. We have prayed and worshiped and planned and prepared and worked and slept and eaten (VERY WELL) here.

This home has been set apart for God’s work and for His Kingdom.

God has moved the family who owns this home to another adventure, and I know He will continue to use this place for His plan and purposes. It is a spectacular home surrounded by 20 acres of His beautiful creation.

Thank you Lord for this amazing home and land. Thank you for allowing Inheritance of Hope and SO MANY others to be blessed by this place and the beautiful family who lived in it. I pray your richest blessing on the Stensrud Family in their new adventures with you. I pray for the perfect buyer for this home and land and for your will in the process, and I thank you for all I know you will do. Amen.

Jill Thompson didn’t give much thought to intentional living until her best friend, Kristen Milligan, was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer at age 30. She had a front row seat as Kristen planned and prepared for her death and was inspired to be as intentional with each day. Kristen rarely missed a single moment to speak truth to her children and to teach, inspire, and encourage others. Because of her intentionality, her life and legacy are still greatly impacting others even 3 years after her death. Jill currently lives in Florida with her husband and 4 children and tries to make the most of each and every day, living intentionally as a wife and mom - we’re honored she’s part of the IoH family!
